Background
Creating the backgrounds for this short film was a key part of shaping its emotional tone and narrative rhythm. I approached each scene as a visual poem, carefully crafting environments that would not only support the storytelling but also elevate its mood and thematic depth.
I chose a warm, sunlit color palette to evoke the feeling of a timeless summer — a season often associated with growth, transformation, and fleeting beauty. Soft yellows, terracottas, and gentle oranges helped create a comforting yet vibrant atmosphere, wrapping the story in a nostalgic, almost dreamlike light.
Rather than striving for realism, I focused on stylized simplicity, allowing space for the viewer’s imagination while enhancing the expressive quality of the characters and their journey. The backgrounds were designed to feel alive, subtly shifting with the emotional flow of the scenes and echoing the inner world of the protagonists.
Through this painterly, almost poetic approach, I aimed to create a visual world that feels intimate and emotionally resonant — a place where story, color, and emotion intertwine.
